Chez Rodin

Auguste Rodin purchased this home in the town of Muedon,in 1896 and lived and worked here, although he continued to work in Paris as well. There are a few rooms, including this dining room, his bedroom and bath,  as well as a small studio that you can visit. On a lower level is a museum featuring many of his familiar work overlooking his burial site. We visited on the 100th Anniversary of his death.

For those of you with the time to get outside of the city I would recommend this side trip. We took the Metro to the town, took a cab up the  hill to the museum and walked back down. We had a lovely lunch, visited the marché then we took the Metro back into Paris.

What does metered to the town and back to Paris mean, Virginia? It' a term I've never heard.
